Clean Beauty Day

I have always told my daughters that real beauty comes from the inside. That is the message I want playing over and over in their heads for the rest of their days.It's pretty ironic that my work would land me square in the beauty industry - a place I never hoped or imagined being. A place where beauty is often only talked about and valued from the outside. In looks, in likes and in what sells - at all costs. 

 But here's the thing - 

Change is an inside job. 

So here I am. 

And here you are, too.  

When I learned that everyone I loved was putting harmful ingredients on their skin multiple times every single day - I knew there was something I could do about it. But I couldn't do it alone. And then somewhere along the road you showed up. And here we are - making major and lasting changes to an industry that needs to be saved.

 So today, on National Clean Beauty Day,  I want to say THANK YOU. Thank you for being part of a movement that goes counter to what the industry tells us we should care about. Thanks for helping to pass 12 laws that protect people, planet and health.Thanks for being for sustainability, safety, health, fair wages and truth.Thanks for helping me create a future where all beauty is clean beauty.

These are things that really are beautiful. 

For us, for our daughters and for everyone else we know (or don't yet know) and love.
